We source, inspect and export left-hand-drive European enthusiast cars directly from Germany and Europe β for Canadian private buyers and dealers.
Canada gives enthusiasts access to cars the U.S. often has to wait another decade for. For most non-bus vehicles, federal import regulation changes once the vehicle is 15 years old based on its month and year of manufacture.
Official Transport Canada guidance βAs of September 2026, a vehicle manufactured in September 2011 or earlier may meet the federal 15-year age exemption. Exact manufacture date matters. Provincial registration requirements and other federal/customs rules still apply.
We look for the gap between European supply and Canadian desire: wagons, diesels, hot hatches, rare trims and LHD versions of cars often imported from Japan as RHD.
European diesel Touring inventory, LHD, huge long-distance appeal. A real-world 530d is already being shipped by OCG from Hamburg to Halifax for a Canadian private buyer.
Never a normal Canadian-market choice. Familiar VW mechanical DNA, but a body and driving experience Canadians did not get locally.
The Canadian-market C63 formula in the estate body Europe kept for itself. High-value enthusiast sourcing where condition matters enormously.
A Japanese performance icon in European LHD specification β exactly the alternative to sourcing an RHD example through Japan.
Manual V8 Avant. A natural collector proposition where German/European LHD supply can be more relevant than RHD imports.
Cars built around the European road: compact, manual, characterful and rare in Canada. Lower entry price can make them strong enthusiast imports.
Watchlist β guaranteed investment. OCG checks current European supply, condition, eligibility and Canadian landed economics before recommending a purchase.
Change the assumptions yourself. This is a planning tool, not a customs quote. We verify the actual vehicle, origin, province and route before purchase.
Duty depends on tariff classification, origin and proof of origin. CETA may provide preferential treatment for qualifying EU-origin goods; buying a Japanese-origin car in Germany does not make it EU-origin. Canada also applies a C$100 excise tax to imported vehicles with air conditioning. Fuel-inefficient vehicle and luxury taxes can apply in some cases. Provincial taxes/inspection/registration are not included.
You do not need to fly to Germany, trust translated classifieds or wire money to a stranger without seeing the car.
Model, spec, budget, province and what matters to you.
Germany first, then the wider European market when it makes sense.
Condition, diagnostics, history, underside, road test and model-specific weak points.
You receive the findings. We negotiate from facts β or tell you to walk away.
Export preparation, transport to port, documents and shipping coordination.
We are useful even when the answer is βdon't buy this one.β The goal is the right car, not forcing a transaction.
No mystery auction sheet as your only evidence. We document the actual car and its weaknesses.
Purchase, inspection, inland transport, export, ocean freight and Canadian import assumptions are separated so you can see where your money goes.
One dream car or repeat inventory. OCG can source unusual LHD stock that Canadian dealers often only see as RHD Japan imports.
Send the model, budget and province. Weβll tell you whether it looks sensible to source in Europe β and what clean examples are currently like on this side of the Atlantic.
